The first time I visited the Burren Perfumery, I thought Google maps was sending me the wrong way. It is nestled on the quietest road in Carron giving visitors a wonderfully serene experience.

Lots of parking on site.

Free entry to the perfumery and herb garden.

I never get bored of a visit to the perfumery. They have a great video, regularly shown throughout the day, which explains the plant life in the Burren.

You can explore the shop at your leisure and the staff are helpful without being pushy. They’ll advise you if you need it but will work away in the open work space behind the till area.

If you check on their social media, you might be able to time your visit with a talk by one of the staff on a variety of topics such as creams, perfume making, soap making and so on. All the products are organic and use the best quality ingredients. I have loads of their body lotions and soaps at home and I rarely use anything else. They also offer free shipping worldwide on purchases of more than €70 which is great if you have a limited luggage allowance.

Be sure to take a wander around their herb garden and have a visit to the tearoom while you are there.

Check out their website here for more information.
